Sarah Jane McIntyre was born about 1870.
She married Charles Rose, an engineer, in 1892 and when she signed the suffrage petition they were living in Cobden, near Greymouth.
Also living in Cobden was Sarah’s mother in law Sarah. (See 246 S Rose)
Sarah and Charles had six children, one who died in infancy, and lived in Cobden until around 1920 when they moved to Auckland.
Sarah died at her home on 2 January 1949 and Charles died the following year – they are buried together in the Waikumete Cemetery.
