Susan Jamieson Stewart was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the eldest daughter of John Jamieson Stewart, a bootmaker, and Jane Patterson. (See 246 Mrs J Stewart)
When Susan signed the suffrage petition she was living with her widowed mother in Greymouth.
They moved to Wellington in the late 1890s where Susan died on 19 April 1963 – she is buried with her mother and sister in the Karori Cemetery.
