Sarah Ann Dellow was born Sarah Ann Berry on 13 February 1870, South Leigh, Oxfordshire, England to Benjamin Berry and his wife Ellen Claridge.
Sarah Ann Berry, her parents and five siblings departed London on 3 November 1874, arriving 21 January 1875 at Lyttelton on the ship Lady Jocelyn.
On 14 January 1891 Sarah married Jesse Dellow in New Zealand.
Sarah and Jesse had eleven children.
The electoral roll for 1911 records Jesse as a Fruit grower. In 1925 he was a Ganger for the County Council. Jesse and Sarah Ann were living at 65 Parsonage Road, Waimate.
Sarah Ann Dellow died on 17 July 1937, age 68 years and is buried in the Waimate Old cemetery, Free Ground, Plot 000297. A cross marks her gravesite.
Jesse Dellow died in Timaru on 4 August 1948, age 80 years and is buried in the Timaru cemetery, General Section, Row 50, Plot 18.
