Ann Selina/Selina Grigg was born about 1858 in St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands, the daughter of George Grigg, a coach painter, and Ann Selina Lovell.
She emigrated to Otago in 1874 on the Scimitar with her family. When she signed the suffrage petition Selina was living with her family in Dalry St, Mornington, Dunedin working as a tailoress. Her mother Ann Grigg and sister Louisa Grigg also signed the petition.
She did not marry and she died on 13 September 1926. She is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin.
