Agnes Wood was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of Alexander Wood, an engineer, and Helen Watherston.
When she signed the suffrage petition Agnes was living in Arthur St, Dunedin. Her sister Margaret also signed

Agnes did not marry, she died on 9 June 1958 and is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
