Group portrait of the Teirney family taken on 6 October 1919 during celebrations at their home – ‘Welcome home to our boy’.
The ‘boy’ being welcomed home is possibly Patrick Teirney of Auckland, the son of James Patrick and Arabella Teirney, who arrived on the troopship Hororata in late September 1919. Patrick had five brothers and three sisters, the same gender balance as in this photograph.
