The article complains that Mau supporters are making a mockery of the New Zealand administration in Samoa. It goes on to describe how an attempt to arrest Tupua Tamasese Lealofi III had to be abandoned when New Zealand police and marines from HMS Dunedin and HMS Diomede found themselves outnumbered by his supporters.
