Hejaz Army headdress


Headdress of an officer in the Hejaz Regular Army. Raised towards the end of 1916 this force was recruited from Arab prisoners of war and deserters from the Ottoman Army. By 1918 there were two battalions, each with 800 men together with British and French advisors.
